Mini-Facelift

Why?

The MACS (Minimal Access Cranial Suspension) facelift or mini-facelift enables the slackening of the middle and lower part of the face to be corrected in order to redraw the oval of the face.

The Intervention

A MACS facelift takes place under local anaesthesia, usually associated with a light sedative (soothing), and takes about two hours. Through a limited incision in front of the ear, the sagging tissues are repositioned using an internal thread for fixing them at a higher level. The surgeon gets rid of the surplus skin before suturing the wound.

Results and Post-Operative Treatment

The patient can go home on the day of the intervention; the dressing and the drains can be removed the next day.

The face remains swollen for five to seven days and normal activity can be resumed eight to ten days after the intervention.

The final result can be seen after the operation.

The mini-facelift makes it possible to regain a lovely contour of the jaw and a firmer neck, and to lessen the folds by the side of the nose (nasolabial folds) and the bitterness wrinkles.
