Aptos lift - featherlift - contour thread-lift

The aptos lift (also called the feather lift or contour thread-lift) is a minimally-invasive surgical procedure that delivers a significant improvement in facial appearance without some of the drawbacks of a traditional face lift. Benefits of a feather face lift include minimal discomfort, no scarring, no general anaesthesia required and a quick recovery.

The surgery

The aptos lift, feather lift or the contour thread-lift is a simple and at the same time an extremely efficient procedure for lifting sagging or asymmetrical eyebrows, or for tightening a fading jaw line or sunken cheeks. This technique is less appropriate for the contour of the eyes.

The aptos lift offers the best results for patients aged between 30 and 60 and it is less suitable for people over 60 as their skin and the tissue under the skin is usually too thin. For these patients we suggest a mini-lift or a macs-facelift.

Post operative care

The aptos lift, feather face lift or contour thread lift takes approximately an hour and is carried out under local anaesthetic. The aptos lift is based on a hypodermic suspension system with special, dissolvable threads that are inserted through small punctures to the skin which later become invisible- and can be used anywhere on the face where a gently lifting is desired.

After a few days you are able to resume your daily activities. Scars due to an aptos lift, feather lift or contour thread-lift fade quickly and become practically invisible. We can safely say that this is a reliable and effective procedure that doesn’t require a long recovery period.
